Welcome to one of the most beautiful diving spots on Earth! The Red Sea in southern Egypt is an idyllic setting for exploring underwater landscapes, sporting a great variety of flora and fauna amongst abundant tropical corals. Rippling throughout this aquatic paradise is clear warm water, whose high saline level makes for an ideal habitat for over 1,000 different types of corals and 1,000 species of fish. On our cruise, we may see as many as 5 species of shark. Colorful fish will happily swim alongside us as we dive, sharing in the wonders of this deep-sea world. Because the Red Sea has few storms, her corals are intricate and beautiful. This trip takes us to some of the finest diving the Red Sea has to offer.

Sailing to the southernmost reefs, we'll depart from Marsa Ghalib Port and dive some sites to the south before sailing overnight to our southernmost point in the St. John's area. Depending on weather, government approval and marine life sightings in recent weeks, we may sail to the southernmost islands of Rocky and Zabargad, or moor instead in the vast reef system of St..John's to begin our adventure in the south.

Taking us on this Red Sea dive adventure is the Emperor Elite dive liveaboard, the grandest liveaboard in the Emperor fleet. Custom-designed and built to a superior standard, Emperor Elite is a 38-metre boat accommodating a maximum of 26 guests in 8 standard twin-berth cabins (lower deck), 3 premium twin cabins (choice of decks), a double Junior Suite (upper deck) and a premium, upper deck Executive Suite, all with ensuite, independent air conditioning, flat screen TV, three towels and a bathrobe per guest. She is a spacious boat with limited free WiFi (signal permitting), three sundecks, dive deck with platform, an air-conditioned salon and air-conditioned dining room where tasty food and free red wine with dinner is served. She has all diving and safety equipment, including two large RIBs with outboards and a Nitrox compressor.
NILE RIVER CRUISE & EGYPT LAND TOUR

TEMPLES ALONG THE NILEOnboard our Nile River cruise for five nights, we'll travel back in time 4,000 years to the opulence of old Egypt's land of the Pharoahs
|
SPHINX AND PYRAMIDSThe sphinx and pyramids of Giza are testament to the architectural ingenuity and engineering enigma of an ancient people
|
HISTORIC CAIROThe Egyptian Museum will set the mood for Historic Cairo, full of mosques, churches and the colorful buzz of Khan El Khalili Bazaar
|

Step back in time 4,000 years to a world long ago where pharoahs ruled the desert and colossal monuments rose from the sand dunes. Following our dive liveaboard, we'll travel to Luxor, where we'll spend the night before boarding our river boat on the Nile River the next morning. As we cruise along the Nile, breathtaking views will invite us to stop along the way on day trips to see ancient ruins, archaeological treasures, mystical temples and ancient villages. You can view our river cruise itinerary in more detail by clicking here.
Our vessel sailing down the Nile River is the beautiful and very comfortable Aggressor Nile Queen, a 155-foot Dahabiya sailing vessel. This 16-passenger river boat offers intimate 5-star Aggressor service, with 6 Deluxe cabins and 2 Master staterooms, each furnished with 28" flat-screen TV, movie library of 700 movies, large windows, mirrored wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, central air conditioning and ensuite bath.
At additional cost, there is an optional excursion available to the Abu Simbel Temple, built in the 13th century BC during the reign of the great and powerful Ramesses II to mark the southern boundary of the Egyptian Empire at the peak of its power during the New Kingdom. They were meant to convey the power of Egypt’s rulers to anyone who laid eyes upon them. This must have been effective because the great statues of Ramesses and his wife Nefertari that adorn their facades are still awe inspiring today. Click here for more details [PDF].
Our next stop after disembarking our river boat in Aswan is Egypt's bustling city of Cairo. We'll be in Cairo for three nights, giving us ample time to ponder the magnificence of Giza and the architectural enigma of the pyramids under the onlooking gaze of the sphinx. Nearby, historical Cairo awaits. Tucked away amid the modern urban area of Cairo lies one of the world's oldest Islamic cities, with remarkable mosques, mausoleums and fountains lining the famous El-Moez street. Founded in the 10th century, it became the new center of the Islamic world, reaching its golden age in the 14th century. Interestingly Cairo’s oldest section, once known as the Roman stronghold of Babylon, features five original churches, the first mosque built in Egypt and the oldest synagogue, representing three major world religions. Our visit to the famous Egyptian Museum will help keep Egypt's extensive history in perspective before we finish our tour at the bustling and colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The next morning (April 28), we bid farewell to Egypt and make our way to Cairo airport for our international flight home.
