TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Steve Webster and Dive With Steve events are contracted with well-established dive trip operators and other suppliers. In all cases, Steve Webster and Dive With Steve act as a travel reseller, not a dive trip operator. At Steve Webster and Dive With Steve events, Steve Webster and/or Dive With Steve do not assume the role of dive guide, divemaster or diving instructor. You must rely on your own dive training and skills to be able to plan, navigate and execute your dive independently with your dive buddy. Participants in events offered by Steve Webster and Dive With Steve understand and agree that Steve Webster and Dive With Steve cannot and do not assume liability for the safety of any participant.
By participating in an event offered by Steve Webster and Dive With Steve, participants and their heirs and next of kin thereby release, waive and discharge Steve Webster and Dive With Steve and their wholesalers, suppliers, agents, officers, directors, employees, representatives, volunteers and assigns (aka "Released Parties") from any and all liability to the participant from any claim or demand which arises in connection with participation in an event offered by Steve Webster and Dive With Steve. This includes release of claims of loss, damage, expense, personal illness or injury, including death of the participant, whether caused by the negligence of Released Parties or from any other cause. Participants agree not to bring any action against Steve Webster or Dive With Steve or any other Released Party arising out of any such loss, damage, expense, personal illness or injury.
Steve Webster and Dive With Steve encourage dive stewardship and reef etiquette, and request that all divers strive to practice "low impact" diving. Steve Webster and/or Dive With Steve reserve the right to deny event participation, or continued participation, to anyone, including diving or use of cameras underwater.

TRIP INSURANCE
Steve Webster and Dive With Steve encourage trip participants to purchase trip or travel insurance to minimize the risk of financial loss due to unexpected changes in travel plans. In many cases, trip or travel insurance is your easiest, most reliable option for recovering funds paid into the trip and for covering unforeseen events that may result in additional expenses owing to interruption or cancellation of your vacation. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve recommend securing trip or travel insurance early -- within 1-2 weeks of your first deposit for a trip -- in order to cover the widest possible range of risks. Read policy details carefully when buying trip or travel insurance, and be aware that many policies require purchase at the time your trip is first booked. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve also recommend joining Divers' Alert Network, aka DAN, to assure that you have dive accident insurance coverage for emergency transport and hyperbaric chamber treatment, which can be very expensive, and consider enhancing your DAN membership with the various options offered by DAN. A competing company, DiveAssure, may also be able to provide you with adequate dive accident coverage. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve make every effort to contract travel services from reputable vendors. You should evaluate the risks and possible consequences of vendor non-performance carefully before signing up for any trip. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve encourage trip participants to purchase trip or travel insurance to mitigate any adverse effects of these risks. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve cannot predict health conditions or the political stability of the countries to which we travel. You are encouraged to avail yourself of all pertinent information, including the U.S. State Department Travel Warnings and Center for Disease Control and Prevention for travel and health advisories on the countries where you plan to visit, when deciding to travel overseas. You are encouraged to purchase trip or travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that may impact your travel plans. |
CANCELLATIONS
The cancellation policy for each specific trip will be posted on the trip website. Because we plan specialized dive events for small groups, funds paid by trip participants toward Steve Webster and Dive With Steve events generally are not refundable should a confirmed trip participant cancel participation in an event. Funds collected from trip participants by Steve Webster and Dive With Steve are forwarded to our vendors to secure a place for the participant on the trip. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve then become obligated with the vendor to fill the space thus reserved for the trip participant. Vendors do not return funds to us once they have been paid to the vendor. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve encourage trip participants to purchase trip or travel insurance to minimize the risk of financial loss due to unexpected changes in your travel plans. If your reason for canceling is covered by your policy, trip or travel insurance is your easiest, most reliable option for recovering funds paid into the trip should you need to cancel your participation in our trip. If your spot is in good standing (i.e. all installment payments have been paid on time) but you discover that you are unable to attend our event, you may try to find a replacement for yourself who is willing to buy your spot from you at whatever price you set. If an event is sold out, the Trip Leader may be able to refer a possible replacement for you from the event waiting list if there is a wait list for your trip. If you must cancel, notify the Trip Leader as soon as possible to improve your chances of finding a replacement to recover your costs. For spots in good standing, diver substitutions will be accepted, most times without charge; sometimes, our vendor may impose charges for changes. If you decide to send someone in your place, you will be advised of any charges at that time. If you plan to make an insurance claim for your cancellation, please check first with your insurance company as to whether they will reimburse you in full or in part for your cancelled trip if you gift or sell your spot to someone else. Payments for event participation must be received on time according to the payment schedule published in the event description, else your participation in that event is subject to cancellation due to non-payment. Steve Webster and Dive With Steve reserve the right to cancel events for any reason or for no reason. If an event is cancelled, Steve Webster and Dive With Steve do not guarantee that monies paid into the trip will be refunded fully or in part despite our best efforts to do so. Trip or travel insurance is the best way to protect the funds paid into your trip. |
